(1993.07.11) Mean Season, Unbroken, Conviction, Evolve, Hell @ The Lost Horizon [Syracuse, NY]

In 1993, Mean Season set out with brother New Age Records band, Unbroken for six weeks on a co-headlining tour throughout the United States. This legendary tour not only sparked a brotherhood between the two brightest shining bands California had to offer, but also left a trail of sweat and blood on the U.S. asphalt that can still be seen by touring bands today.

Here are some photos taken at the July 11th date in Syracuse, NY at The Lost Horizon alongside touring mates Unbroken, the almighty Conviction, Connecticut’s Evolve (featuring Sean Martin, pre-Hatebreed/100 Demons), and Oswego’s Hell (ex-Dead Image).

Chris Turco (Hell): That was the second band after Dead Image that I did before leaving the area. Definitely lots of Quicksand and Helmet riffs going on. I remember the show not being very good for us. No one cared about what we were doing. Within a year’s time I left the area.
